Making a Lath-back Chair

Monday, August 6, 2018 - 09:00 to Friday, August 10, 2018 - 18:00
Location:
Corehead Farm/Devil's Beef Tub, Moffat

Make a lath-back chair from a log, from start to finish in 5 days.

This is a little more advanced than the spindle-back. Participants will be able to decide which to make at the start of the course.

This course will be held at Corehead Farm, next to the spectacular Devil's Beef Tub, just north of Moffat. This is a 1580 acre farm, acquired by the Borders Forest Trust in 2009, as 'a community engaged, sustainable project integrating the restoration of native woodlands, wetlands and heathlands with a farm operating on organic principles. It will become an important educational resource in the South of Scotland demonstrating how biodiversity, ecosystem services and farming can thrive together.'
